 Hi class! My name is Emily Gifford!

I am currently working my earning my Marketing Management degree at JCCC. I originally applied for JCCC when I was wanting to be a paramedic, and JCCC has a fabulous paramedic program, I got all the way through EMS and EMT and then I did drop the program, I realized that the medical field was just not for me. I had loved JCCC so much that I decided to continue going to school here even if I wasn't in the paramedic program, I just wasn't sure what I wanted to do exactly. It took me about over a year of trying all types of classes trying to decide what degree I was wanting to pursue, and I finally decided in marketing. And I am so happy that I did because ever since I have started working towards the marketing management degree, I have been so happy in school and just so eager and excited to finish so that I can finally get a job in this field that I have learned to love so much! I am not 100% on what field in Marketing that I am wanting to go for, I honestly will take whatever I can get right out of school. I have loved my social media marketing classes the most so far so if I can get a job in that field then that would be amazing. 

I have yet to have a job in the Marketing field, it has been a struggle to even find an internship before I graduate since I am only graduating with a 2 year degree, so I am hoping that when I compete the 2 years in school it will be easier to find a job. The only "job" I have done in the marketing field is, I have been working at a vet's office for a few years now and I have done the facebook posts for them for about a year now, but that is about the closest I have gotten to being in the marketing field, but no complaints because I am wanting something in social media marketing! 

I am really excited to be in this class and to be able to get to know everyone better this semester through these blogs. We are all just one step closer to getting to out final goal in where ever we are wanting to go! We got this!
